For the resort will bring more properous, and such properious might give the community lively and interesting. Moreover, the merchant believe in that the ski resord will make him experience a growth in his buisinness, and so do the other merchants. Unfortunately, the suggestion is unwarranted in response of follow aspects.
Firstly, there is no clear evidence to convince us about the growth in business is certain. The author doesn’t mention any about why the proposal could facilitate his career. As it konwn to all, it is perfectly possible that the increasing business is resulted by some other reason,for instance, the new policy carried out which supply a better market, or be more faverable in tax. Nontheless, due to the incomplete information, the assumption that the local community have some trouble in safety or have a small popolation may stand as well. That is to say, though the ski resort do promote acculerate the business, the growth is still not ensurable.Also, the kind of business should take into consideration. The author gives nothing about his trade. The Ski the Slopes, Incorporated, obviously could not boost the business of furniture at all. Thus, as the information is not sufficient, we can not simply conclude that the growth is neccessary.
Secondly, the author treat the opposition from a small group of environmentalist as despensable, and assert that there is no reason to give in their views. It is arbitray to ignore the opposition from those environmentalist, though they are not living in the community. For their aim is to protect the natural environment, the opposition ought to be reasonable. The Ski resort in the north state park may actually do harm to the natural environment by breaking the eco-balance or something else. Therefore the proposal may be not a wise choice.
Thirdly, the argument suffers from the lacking of feasibility of implement. The First National Bank agree to fund it, but how much would it give is unclear. Common sense informs me that the ski resort is a big project, and also it requires a strict condition to built. Accordingly the weather of the community has not been told, we do not know if we can built such project. Even assuming that the weather is suitable, the buget of our community may not afford such project, even we have the fund from First National Bank.
In sum, we have problem to approve the suggestion of the author. To convince us, the information of local economic environment and author’s business should be provided. Also, the report of the proposal whether or not disrupt the natural environment is needed. Besides, the feasiblity of the suggestion have obliged to be reconsiderated.
